Patons rock, Golden Bay
Location
Patons Rock is about 20 minutes north of Takaka, and is a tiny grouping of bachs (or holiday homes to the non-kiwis). There are no amenities here, so bring what you need for the day.

Description
Patons Rock is a small but expanding residential area, with a fabulous quiet beach, ideally suited to kitesurfing. Its the perfect kiting stop-off en route to a visit to the infamous Mussel Inn. This is a great spot to spend some quiet time enjoying the beautiful scenery and enjoying a great kite spot.
