Meet the team at Kite Surf Nelson

 

Kite Surf Nelson is owned by Shane Anderson.

Shane started kiting in Nelson in 1999 and has competed for many years, finishing in the top 4 riders in the 2007 NZ Nationals held in Nelson on his home beach. If Shane isnt in the shop he's at the baech kitesurfing and is sponsored by most brands sold in the shop. He has kited throughout NZ, in Europe and the South Pacific. He has a great technical understanding of the sport and can provide good insight into what equipment will suit you and help you progress onto the next level. Whatever style of riding you’re into, Shane will have some advice on how to get the best out of your gear.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Romain Guibard is our Senior Instructor for the 2009/10/11 season. Rom, or Frenchie, is an IKO Level 2 Instructor, with teaching experience in New Zealand, France and Egypt, and has ridden all over the world. We brought him all the way over from France to teach for us, which is testament to his expertise and professionalism. He has a relaxed and easy-going approach to his teaching, but will ensure that you get all the safety information and coaching points you need to get riding safely and quickly.
